| At the Finish |
I managed to finish the inaugural Steve King Classic 100k road race in 11:25:16. I knew it was going to be a sufferfest as I have not been running much for the last couple of months. Lots of time on the bike but that just does not prepare you for a 100k on the road. I was still a little sore from the 20k run at Meet Your Maker in Whistler and paid the price. The course was fabulous but a lot tougher than it looks on paper.
The organization, volunteers and finish venue were great. Definitely a race to add to your calendar for next year. As usual, my Salomon gear was fantastic. No chaffing or even a hint of blisters.
